Since its founding, Dr. Seok-jo Seo, the founder of the early days, has made efforts to sacrifice and serve patients. Back then, he started with 250 beds. We have grown into a mammoth-class medical institution that operates over 2,500 beds in SoonChunHyang University Seoul Hospital in Seoul, including Bucheon, Cheonan and Gumi.

SoonChunHyang University Seoul Hospital, the eldest of the hospital's affiliated hospitals, has faithfully conducted its role as a mother and birthplace of SoonChunHyang University and Medical Center, and is located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Currently, more than 1,200 faculty members, including 130 professional faculty members, are engaged in medical research, education and patient care.

On July 7, 1982, it was opened as the only general hospital (14 medical departments and 150 beds) in Chungnam, which was almost like a medical wasteland. Currently, the hospital has 734 beds of in 24 departments. As a local hospital, growth has been achieved at a rate rare in terms of quantity and quality.

After opening the hospital with 250 beds in September 1979, it expanded to 300 beds in November 1984, and 450 beds in September 1992 to emerge as the largest general hospital in the northwestern part of Gyeongbuk.
