The cells of a patient’s tissue and fluid sample are examined through a microscope to make a diagnosis and in case a patient’s diagnosis is cancer, the Department of Pathology decides the stage of the cancer and provides information that helps the clinical doctor to establish a treatment plan and decide the patient’s prognosis.
