Department of Oncology and Hematology
Oncology and hematology is a specialty that deals with the diagnosis and antitumor treatment for various solid tumors such as gastric cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, breast cancer and head and neck cancers, and chemotherapy and stem cell transplantation for hematologic cancers such as leukemia, malignant lymphoma and multiple myeloma. The Department of Oncology and Hematology also conducts active clinical trials of antitumor treatment. This specialty generally studies the use of antitumor agents and pursues specialization of cancer treatment based on understanding of the effects and toxicity of antitumor agents.
