Department of Cardiology
Cardiology handles a vast spectrum of disorders such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease, heart failure, valvular disease and arrhythmia. In particular, coronary angiography and coronary intervention are playing important roles in diagnosis and treatment of ischemic heart diseases of which the prevalence is recently spiking. Other than these techniques, the Department of Cardiology also uses various diagnostic tools for a broad range of diseases such as echocardiogram, exercise stress test and 24-hour ECG.
