Thank you for visiting SoonChunHyang University Gumi Hospital.
In 1979, the Hospital was established as the first and only general hospital in the region to promote health of local community with a spirit of SoonCheonHyang, “practice of medicine with acceptance of disposition of province to save people’s lives”.
The hospital started medical treatment with 250 beds but has made continuous efforts to introduce the latest medical equipment and medical technology, and modernize facilities for better services.
Currently, it consists of 26 medical departments, in which about 600 faculty members, including 70 specialists spare no efforts for patient care, research, and education, operating 352 beds. Putting local people at the center with spirits of sharing and giving, Soonchunhyang University Gumi Hospital endeavors to provide convenience and satisfy medical needs with moving classes for health education, medical services, free medical services for foreigners, support for abused children, medical assistance for vulnerable patients, early medical treatment, and customer satisfaction projects. Also, we promote vitalization of medical treatment and practice of patient-centered management for enhanced customer satisfaction and friendly hospital culture.
Meanwhile, we built an infrastructure to provide a higher level of medical services by linking Soonchunhyang University with Seoul, Cheonan and Bucheon Hospitals under the Central Medical Center.
We will continue our service based on advanced medical care and human love that respects life, and spare no effort to realize the vision of a “superior, patient-oriented base hospital in the mid-western part of Gyeongbuk'.
